Cobble Hill CSA
Volunteer Requirements

Membership in the Cobble Hill CSA has a volunteer time requirement.  We have one of the lightest volunteer time requirements of any CSA, but responsible participation is still critical to CSA operations.  The Cobble Hill CSA has no paid staff, so having all shifts filled keeps our operations moving smoothly and pleasantly for everybody.

You can find out what shifts are available and find out when your shift is scheduled at this website:

 Some general notes about volunteering:

  • Some shifts require lifting and carrying tables or boxes of produce.  If you cannot do these tasks, try to sign up for a shift that doesn’t require much physical labor.  Conversely, if you are able to do some physical labor, please take a shift that requires some.
  • Volunteer duties unfortunately do not leave much time for taking care of children.  Please do not bring children who require attention to your volunteer shift. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator if you have questions about bringing children to your shift.
  • If you can’t find a shift that fits your schedule and abilities, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator for an alternate task.

Following are job descriptions for the various ways members can meet their volunteer requirement.  We have two  ways to volunteer!  Both shifts are during the day and shorter that pickup shifts.  If you have any questions or comments, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator:
